Welcome to Adventure1 where we offer the widest possible selection of outdoor courses and training opportunities. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, younger or older, you will find something on offer that suits your taste. If there is something you wish to have a go at but you don't see it on our web site, please feel free to request it and we'll try to meet your needs.

Most of our courses this year and winter 2009 will be run in UK, Canada, Alps and Norway. From October we will be running courses and cultural trips and activities in Jordan and Israel. Please see our section on 'Events' for updates and information. However, if you have another venue in mind we can run a course to suit.

Most of our courses are residential, whether in valley hotels as self catering, full board or in mountain huts, and when in the desert we will be staying in Beduin tents, where we all lend a hand! If you are looking for a long holiday break from the routine, a qualification for your future job, to hang out with new friends or just to try out a new experience, we'll be able to accommodate you here at Adventure1; whether in UK, Canada, the Alps, in Norway, Israel or Jordan. 

This is all made possible because of our adaptability, flexibility, knowledge and experience. As individual trainers and assessors in large organisations we have provided bespoke courses for over 20 years for military, individual and corporate clients. Adventure1 is run by ex Special Air Service and Army Physical Training Corps officers and instructors, who have lead many expeditions and have commanded the Ministry of Defence leading outdoor centres. Our guides and instructors are second to none, they hold international and national qualifications and have been tried and tested through the national/international governing bodies and the Ministry of Defence to exacting standards of coaching and teaching. So most of our courses result in the award of national governing body qualifications; some, internationally recognised.

All of our courses are conducted with fun, quality assurance and validity being the operative words. As parents ourselves, we will keep parents of candidates uniformly and frequently informed of their children's well being and progress. Candidates of all ages are monitored and mentored closely; friendly direction is given in all areas of uncertainty, whether in training or their welfare needs.
